This was a lot different then any of the press I recall hearing about any female posing nude. In addition to the criticism, there was a lot of concern about whether Levi Johnston should go completely nude, and how his decision to pose nude would have a detrimental impact on his life.
The overall tone of the coverage, and reactions to Levi’s photospread were brutal. How many girls have posed nude in the last year? How many of them were labeled as TMI or in a similiar fashion? None, as far as I’ve ever seen. In contrast, Levi Johnston is the only attractive man I’m aware of that did a nude photoshoot and Levi’s private parts were even covered in the photos.
In the past year, I’ve come across stories about the latest female celebrities or pseudo celebrities to pose nude almost daily. The reason Levi made the TMI Trio cut: He posed for Playgirl. (Although outside the topic of this post, McKenzie Phillips was couragous by coming forward with her abuse, and helped a lot of people) Also listed were McKenzie Phillips for speaking out about her past drug abuse and sexual abuse, and Sherri Shepperd for getting a Brazillian bikini wax on The View. In it’s Best and Worst of 2009 edition (p 106), People Magazine named Levi Johnston one of the three members of the TMI Trio (for Too Much Information).
